Privacy Policy

This is our current, operative privacy policy for oqlfhelp.ca. It is written in plain language and reflects how we actually handle your information today. It has not yet been independently reviewed by a lawyer, and we will update it as the service evolves. It is designed to align with Quebec's Law 25 (Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector).

What we collect

  • OQLF letters you upload or paste (auto-deleted within 48 hours)
  • Website URLs, Instagram handles, and Facebook URLs you provide for scanning
  • Photos you upload for scanning (deleted after the scan completes)
  • Your email address (to deliver results and limited follow-up communication)
  • IP address (for rate-limiting and abuse prevention only)
  • Browser type and language preference

How we use it

  • To generate your response draft and fix checklist
  • To deliver your PDF and related follow-up communications
  • To prevent abuse of the free tools
  • To improve product quality, using anonymized aggregate data only

How long we keep it

  • Uploaded letters and their generated PDFs: deleted within 48 hours, including the stored files.
  • Photos submitted for a scan: deleted once the scan completes.
  • Fix Pack scan records: retained for up to 30 days as a service and audit record, then archived.
  • Email and basic audit records: kept only as long as needed to operate the service and meet our legal obligations.

Service providers

We rely on Anthropic for AI processing (with no-training headers set so your content is not used to train models), Supabase for data storage, Resend for email delivery, and Vercel for hosting. We use payment and analytics providers only where applicable. These providers receive only what is strictly necessary to provide their service.

Your rights under Law 25

You have the right to access, correct, and delete the personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, or to reach the person responsible for the protection of personal information, contact us at privacy@oqlfhelp.ca.
